Congratulations to the U12A Bohemier squad for a hard-fought victory in the gold medal game of the 2023 Metcalfe and District Ringette Association Tournament.

A number of tough games over the weekend included a 6-6 round-robin tie with the very talented squad out of GCRA who would be CORA’s gold-medal game opponents.  The final was a spirited event that must be described as a goaltender showcase.  CORA and GCRA shooters pelted the net-minders with relentless one-timers, laser shots, and open-side attempts.  CORA’s players – with some beautiful end-to-end, stick-to-stick, high-speed passing –  did eventually solve the GCRA goalie to win the game 6-4.

The group’s success in this tournament was an all around effort with a special dose of team play.

One special note about the final:  the performance of CORA goaltender Rory McGraw in the gold medal game can only be described as outstanding.
