Summer Camps

Ottawa offers several ringette camps throughout the summer, here are 2018's offerings -

July 3-6, 2018

  • Ringette Fundamentals (U6, U7, U8, U9 & U10) is designed for players who have limited ringette playing experience or for those who are completely new to the game.  It has 3 hours of on ice training per day and a daily cafeteria lunch, recreation swim, camp jersey and camp t-shirt.  Location:  Carleton Ice House.

July 9-13, 2018

  • Ringette Camp (U9, U10 & U12) has 3 hours of on ice training per day and a daily cafeteria lunch, recreation swim, camp jersey and camp t-shirt.  Location:  Carleton Ice House.
  • National Ringette School Camp has 10 hours (U9/U10) or 13 hours (U12 & U14/U16) of on ice training per week plus focused off-ice sessions (e.g. shooting, fitness, mental training, team building, strategy and nutrition).

July 16-20, 2018

  • Ringette Camp (U9, U10 & U12) has 3 hours of on ice training per day and a daily cafeteria lunch, recreation swim, camp jersey and camp t-shirt.  Location:  Carleton Ice House.
  • Ringette Skill Training (U9, U10 & U12) is a City of Ottawa day camp focusing on drills, power skating, ring handling, shooting and passing.  Location:  Fred Barrett Arena.

July 23-27, 2018

August 13-17, 2018

  • Ottawa Elite Ringette Camp for Juniors (U8, U9 & U10) is run by two dedicated CORA parents and features two ice times per day, recreation swim and various off-ice activities.  Location:  RA Centre.
  • Ringette Skill Training (U7 & U8) is a City of Ottawa day camp focusing on drills, power skating, ring handling, shooting and passing.  Location:  Canterbury.
  • Ringette Skill Training (U9, U10 & U12) is a City of Ottawa day camp focusing on drills, power skating, ring handling, shooting and passing.  Location:  Canterbury.
  • GCRA Ringette Day Camp (U12 and below) includes 3 hours of ice time daily focusing on skating, individual ring skills, and game play.  Location:  Potvin Arena.
  • GCRA Competitive Player Day Camp (U12 and above) includes 3 hours of ice time daily plus off-ice strategy instruction and outdoor conditioning sessions.  Location:  Fred Barrett Arena.

August 20-24, 2018

  • Ottawa Elite Ringette Camp (U12 & U14) is run by two dedicated CORA parents and features two ice times per day, recreation swim and various off-ice activities.  Location:  RA Centre.
  • Ringette Skill Training (U7, U8, U9, U10 & U12) is a City of Ottawa day camp focusing on drills, power skating, ring handling, shooting and passing.  Location:  Pinecrest.

August 27-31, 2018

  • Ringette Conditioning Camp (U10, U12 & U14) has 3 hours of on ice training, led by a National Ringette League players, that will improve players' skating and ring movement skills. When off ice, players will participate in age appropriate fitness sessions that include agility and H.I.I.T. (High-intensity interval training) workouts.  Location:  Carleton Ice House.
  • Eagle Lake Ringette Camp is a sleepaway camp, it separates the girls into various levels based on skills and accommodates girls aged 7-14.  NOTE:  This camp starts on Sunday, August 26th and finishes Saturday, September 1, 2017.

Goalies note that Goaler U runs several intensive goalie camps throughout the summer.
