City of Ottawa Ringette Association’s 27th Annual Ringette Tournament
December 4-6, 2009 The City of Ottawa Ringette Association (CORA) is pleased to invite you to its 27th Annual Invitational Tournament scheduled for December 4-6, 2009.
DIVISIONS AND ENTRY FEES
The CORA Tournament is a ‘’Female Only’’ sanctioned event, with the exception of Novice C and Rec.
REGISTRATION Registration will be done on-line. Your registration fee cheque (dated as of on-line registration date, NOT post-dated) is due within 7 days of online registration. Your registration is not complete until your cheque has been received. A formal acceptance email will be sent at a later date. Registration will close on October 25, 2009. Once a team’s registration is complete and accepted, there will be no refund upon withdrawal unless that team finds an acceptable replacement team of the same calibre. Cheques should be made payable to “City of Ottawa Ringette” or “CORA”. Please send TRFs by November 2, 2009. Send TRF and fee c/o the coordinates below. We have limited ice to run our tournament and therefore we are primarily a first come/first serve tournament. You must apply early to secure a spot!

ACCOMMODATIONS: The success of our tournament relies heavily on the combination of great volunteers and the partnerships established with our sponsors. Hudson Travel Group is the exclusive travel partner for our annual tournament. They have blocks put aside at all the participating host hotels and we ask that you secure your hotel rooms though Hudson Travel, not only to receive great rates, but also to ensure the future success of our tournament.

Ringette Canada and O.R.A. Sanctioned Tournament Rules will be enforced. One exception is that there will be no overtime during round robin play. Complete rules will be made available with the tournament package.
JuniorAA and BelleAA games will consist of two 20 minute periods; all other
games will consist of two 15 minute periods. The shot clock will be used in all
AA, A, & B games. Games may begin as early as 8am on Friday. Out-of-town teams
will be given reasonable travel time on Friday before being scheduled for their
first game, but they should plan to leave their home location on Friday morning.
If necessary, the odd game may be scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday night
(local teams only). Air or mechanically assisted horns are not permitted at any of the facilities. Applications will not be considered complete until a cheque has been received. Ontario Ministry of Health - Community’s In Action Fund Supports the City of Ottawa Ringette Association For the 2009/2010 season, City of Ottawa Ringette has received funding under the CIAF program to increase participation in the sport of ringette. This funding is for players, coaches and youth support on initiation teams. | ||||||||||||||||||
